what insect?? is eating my hosta leaves? little holes everywhere. I sometimes see little white moths flying out. are they the culprit? if so, what can i use get rid of them? |
The most common hosta pests are slugs and snails. They hide during the day and feed at night. You can go out at night with a flashlight and pick them off your plants or you can broadcast a bait around your plants to help control them. The iron based Sluggo is really effective in controlling slugs and snails. Be sure to apply according to label directions. |
