I lost a century plant due to all the rain, need a replacement. It would be in a raised area, most of the day sun (no early morning), and wouldn't get watered after the first few weeks. Maximum height 3', spread 4'. Soil type is mostly sand, but it would be mulched with grass clippings covered by pinestraw.
Surrounding: thrift, rosemary, calla lilies, iris, day lilies, hollyhocks, sedums, boxwood.

How about planting Red Hot Poker (Kniphofia)? It will thrive anywhere a yucca or century plant thrives. Hope it works well in your garden.
