Is it necessary to shape a Chinese Pistache or does it |
Pistache is often rather awkward and gangling in youth but this "ugly duckling" will magically transform itself into a most "beautiful swan" as its canopy develops and begins to mature. Although you can prune it to shape, even without such pruning the vast majority of pistache will eventually make very nicely shaped trees all on their own. If you decide to prune, late winter or early spring is best. |
