We have 3 healthy eggplant plants in our vegatable garden, planted back in early April. They have each produced several purple flowers, but unlike previous years, no fruit ever comes from the flowers, which subsequently fall off. We would like some fruit for our labor. What gives?

Extreme heat (over 90F) will keep eggplants from setting fruit. Lack of insect pollination can cause the same problem. There's nothing you can do about the weather but you can attract pollinating insects with lots of colorful flowers in your garden. Hope this helps!
