Hi, I am in the midst of a major grasshopper infestation, millions of them. In the last few days they have distroyed my whole garden, stripping leaves off of all my trees. It is so depressing and upsetting. I have two guieny hens but they can only eat so much. Last night I bought some spray at Home Depot but that doesn't even put a dent in it. I like to garden organically. No assistancefrom county

In a vegetable garden, grasshoppers are probably best controlled with rotenone, sabadilla or pyrethrum sprays applied when you first notice the damage. These are considered least toxic and can be used in organic gardens. Grasshoppers can also be controlled with biological weapon called Nosema locustae. It should be readily available in your local garden center. Best wishes with your garden!
