On my knock outs, the leaves will turn yellow, fall off, leaving the stems of the bush looking like a skeleton. What is it lacking? Thanks...

Sounds like a water stress problem or a disease called black spot. Look for spots on the stems and on the leaves before they turn yellow and fall off. If you find them (not common with Knock Out roses, but possible), you can use a product called Rose Defense to protect the leaves. If you find no spots, the problem is water related - either too much or too little. Deeply soak your plants once a week (twice if the soil drains quickly and the weather is hot). Hope this information is helpful!
