canadian hemlock hedge's - Knowledgebase Question

i ordered some canadian hemlock hedges from a catalogue.when they arrived they looked dead,but they tell you they are i planted them about a week ago,following directions to the T.but they still look dead.your opinion please.Thanks

It is possible the plants were dormant. Soaking the root systems prior to planting will help rehydrate them. If you didn't soak the roots in water, they'll take a little longer to rehydrate and begin to grow. Give them another two weeks. If you still don't see new growth you'l want to have them replaced with healthy new plants. Good luck with your hemlocks!
