Your serviceberry sounds stressed but I'm at a loss to figure out why! Full sun is fine, regular irrigation is just what it wants. It simply is stressing out over some environmental condition which is causing the leaves to age prematurely but the plant to know it's not winter and it should have leaves. So the process begins all over again. I don't really know what to suggest! You might try watering a little less frequently. Although the soil drainage on the berm should be perfect, the roots may be sitting in a pool of water. Give this a try and see if you see an improvement. Hope so!
