summer grass - Knowledgebase Question

hi. its been very hot and dry here in Asbury Park - a shoretown with sandy-ish soil. despite watering my grass has gone from green to brown to... is there anything i can do (fertilizer or soemthing else??) to make the grass come back and be happy? thanks!

Feeding your lawn won't counteract the effects of hot weather - in fact it might stress it even more. There's not much you can do other than overseeding with bermuda, which is heat and drought tolerant. Or, you may simply elect to wait out the hot weather. Your lawn will green up again when things cool off. Best wishes with your lawn!
