|I have a huge tree in my front yard. Under the tree there is a dirt spot. Is it to late to plant seeds, or can I still purchase sod from home depot and lay that down?

|Sod will give you an instant improvement so I'd install sod. It's difficult to get grass to grow in the shade so you may need to replace the sod every 3-4 years. Or, you can plant a drought tolerant, shade loving groundcover instead of sod. Try carpet bugle or vinca instead of turf and you won't have to keep replacing it. Best wishes with your landscape.
