My hostas have little holes in them, I assume from some type of bug maybe? Is there something I can do to help this? I don't recall this happening last year, but the weather has been different than last year.

Slugs and snails love hostas and will make little holes in the leaves. Use a bait to control them. I like Sluggo. It's iron base, harmless to wildlife, pets and people, and any product not consumed by slugs or snails degrades into simple iron which is absorbed by the earth. Best wishes with your hostas!
