We have been invaded by spiders every year. Webs appear daily on railings, rafters, plants, etc. We wipe away the webs, but they are there again in the morning. My husband said it does no good to spray. Can you help?

Spiders are considered beneficial in the garden because they prey on insects so I don't think you'll want to wipe out the entire population. You might be able to discourage them by hosing down the railings, rafters and plants late in the afternoon. Do this every day for a week or two and I'll bet the spiders find a drier place to go. Hope it works well for you.
