I planted a CBS about 6 years ago in the White Mountains of NH for my granddaughter. I am moving to Durham NC where she lives. She wants to know if I can bring the tree with me? Will it survive?

The Blue spruce can live up to Zone 8; So YES you can take it.... Be very careful transporting that distance.. It is best to wrap the tree with a couple layers of burlap to protect the tree from 'wind burn' damage. Also dig as wide as possible when removing the root ball. You will want to also wrap the root ball with burlap and secure it in place with heavy / durable twine. Most likely it will survive the transplant. Good Luck!
