The Green Pages: Lavender Fields Herb Farm (Local Garden Centers)

According to their website, they are Virginia's largest grower of USDA organic herb and vegetable plants. My experience is that they are extremely helpful and informative and they do stock a wide variety of plants. On a visit earlier this summer, I purchased some Lavender plants, planted and mulched them per their instructions for overcoming my heat and dryness planting issues, and all of the plants survived and are still looking great after 3 heavy frosts!

They offer classes in a lot of crafts and their gift shop is wonderful. Their dried lavender and essential oils selection is extensive and smells great! If I didn't live over 2 hours away, I would be there every weekend!
