Before sitting down to write this review I took the time to look at their website pretty carefully. Here are a few of the conclusions I reached:
... Their website is very attractive and very easy to navigate. The photos of the plants they offer are large enough and of sufficiently high quality to give a very clear idea of the plants they offer.
...Theirs is not the largest selection of peonies offered by other internet sources, but their selection indicates a very discerning eye and an inclination to offer unique varieties.
... They offer a very good selection of herbaceous peonies, tree peonies, and intersectional Itoh peonies.
... They also offer something I haven't seen before... a small selection of older tree peonies. These are plants that are fully ready to bloom... for those among us who just don't want to wait.
... They also offer a selection of fruits and berries you'll doubtless not find anywhere else. One particularly interesting offering consists of several varieties of "Perry" pears. These heirloom pears date back to at least the 1790's and are unique because they are not eaten fresh. They are, instead, the foundation for hard pear ciders.
... Make sure you visit the "Learn" page on their site. You'll find good planting and cultural instructions... but you will also find fascinating sections on peony history and peony art.
This is a small, unique nursery well worth a visit.
Incidentally, this is the nursery that has the peony I have been looking for these past many years.
