It's been a few years since I ordered from this company, but after two home moves, many of the narcissus bulbs I ordered from them are blooming in my new garden. I recently revisited their website and was still impressed with the variety of bulbs offered. The descriptions are very informative.

Placed my first order with OHG in fall, and kicking myself for not trying them out sooner- Excellent in every aspect! From the first order confirmation to the hand written comments on the packing slip, the communication was timely and personal. For years I thought the prices were high, but now I feel I got bargains on absolute gems that can be found nowhere else!

This wonderful company sells historic bulbs that will delight you for years to come. Our garden is the richer for these amazing old-fashioned flowers. Quality and service are superb at Old House Gardens. I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone who loves history and gardening.

Gosh, they are just fabulous. Last year I purchased several dahlias. I had problems with several of them. I let them know and they gave me credit, even for the ones that rotted due to weather and not anything they did. I used my credit to get gladiolus this year but I did buy one dahlia. When I got my order yesterday I received a free dahlia in addition! But the best part was the wonderful hand written note from Scott, the owner.

After I won second prize in the ATP Bulbs Not-a-Raffle Raffle and chose Old House Gardens, Dave duly sent OHG my contact information. I subsequently received an email from them, saying that the bulbs offered were only marginal for my area and asking whether I would be willing to take substitutions better suited to my zone. Listen to expert advice and get personally selected products? Heck, yeah, I would take substitutes!!! When I got the bulbs, I saw that they not only had substituted for me, but also had matched the dollar amount of the original selections, which meant I actually received 23 bulbs--nearly double the original quantity. Each selection was tidily packaged in a brown paper bag and clearly labeled. Plus, instructions, a catalogue, and a Double Pink Poppy seed packet were included in the box. Such outstanding customer service even when they were not getting any direct cash for the transaction might be something to keep in mind if you are considering placing an order now or in the future with Old House Gardens.

Excellent and knowledgeable company. Site is easy to navigate. They also e-publish a monthly newsletter brimming w/ information. Lots of heirloom daffodils and tulips plus a lot of other bulbs. Packaging is good, w/ a personal touch. Super reputation is justified.

I just received my first order from this company (placed last spring for fall shipment). Lovely plump bulbs filled the box and several large free bulbs were included to substitute for a crop failure of one I had ordered. A lovely magnet was enclosed as well. There is a hand-written "welcome" note that also explains the substitution.
