I have some large heavy pots scattered around the gardens. Pond plants in wet soil also can be rather heavy. Instead of dragging all those things to your potting bench or trying to work on the ground, all you need is a board and a wheelbarrow.
My board is just a scrap of wood approximately 30 inches long and 9 inches wide. On the bottom at each end there are 1 X 2 inch wood strips that help keep the board from sliding around on the top of the wheelbarrow. You can make your board any size, depending on your needs and what you have at hand. I wouldn't suggest anything narrower than 9 inches wide. Mine is 30 inches long because I have a large yard cart and it was made to fit both the smaller wheelbarrows and the yard cart. Just fill your wheelbarrow with potting soil, slap the board across the top, and you'll have a great work space. Set two wheelbarrows with boards on top next to each other and you can have a perfect spot for cleanup work, dumping the old soil into one wheelbarrow and potting up with the clean soil in the other wheelbarrow
