Interested in an idea for a great trip this year? Here's one for gardeners everywhere! Floriade is an international flower exposition held only every 10 years. Floriade 2002 opened in early April and runs through Oct. 20 in Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands. This bloomin' show contains enough "wow" value to inspire even non-gardeners. This year's event, the 5th to be held, features participants from 30 countries and is expected to attract 3 million visitors. With vegetables, fruit, mushrooms, trees, and shrubs, there is something for everyone. Over 300 beautiful displays and presentations will be included in the 65-hectare park, including a valley filled with more than a million flower bulbs in the spring, followed by gorgeous annuals and perennials from late spring on through fall.
