Thumb Plant Status Notes Events
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Blue Ridge Mountains')
Foliage type: Semi-evergreen
Scape height: 38 inches

A real nice purple one that I got in 2016 on my trip to NC - when I met Bob Selman & Eric Simpson.

It did a poly last year that looked really cool.
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Blue Stardust')
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Blue Tattoo')
Foliage type: Dormant
Scape height: 50 inches
Hybridizer: Selman

This bloomed first time in 2017 and is now on my Top Ten list as it's so beautiful. The colors are just striking & I love it. It has not reached 50 inches yet. Maybe in 2019. We'll see.

I like tall ones. But regardless of height it's a beauty.
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Blue Venture')
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Blue-eyed Butterfly')
Semi-evergreen. 24 inches tall. I got this one from Jack Church & planted in the fall of 2016. It bloomed in 2017 - but was very very short. I hope it grows taller next season. The bloom is very pretty & delicate looking.
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Blue-eyed Curls')
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Blueberry Breakfast')
Dormant: 22 inches tall. Got this from Jack Church at least 7 yrs ago and it's one of my favorites. Even though it's not very tall it does stand out in the garden. It's a nice purplish/blue color & it goes well with my lovely yellow 'Suzi Bellman'.
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Bluebird of Happiness')
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Bold Presence')
This bloomed in my garden in 2017. I didn't order it; so it must have been a gift from somebody. It's very different looking & had a nice bloom each & every time. Did not seem to fade in the sun.
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Boomerang Effect')
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Boss Hogg')
(Absolute must-have)
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Boston Marathon')
I actually got this as a GIFT from a seller & it's an okay DL. Nothing outstanding about it. It's small like Stella D'Oro and has pretty little blooms. However with the pale beige color you really need something small and bright next to it (my opinion) to make it pop.

I'm not sure what that would be since I don't ordinarily buy short DL's like this. Maybe I'll find something later on. If I do, I'll update this.
Opposite attracts Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Boundless Beauty')
Very pod fertile Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Bradley Bernard')
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Breakfast at Tiffany's')

Has not bloomed yet...waiting to see it in 2018
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Browns Ferry Queen of Hearts')
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Bubblegum Pie')
Semi-evergreen. 24 inches tall; but seemed taller in my garden. I got this at Surreybrook Farm - a local nursery and boy did I luck out. This is a wonderful pink DL with a yellow wavy edge that seems to be diamond dusted. It grew like it had been there for years right after I planted it in 2017. Tons of blooms that last for at least 2 months. Yay!!!
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Buddy's Abilene')
Evergreen: 30 inches tall. First time blooming for me in the summer of 2017. I have it next to Chico Rico. They're a great match.
Image Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Bullfrog Kisses')
