I will have to see what variety I have. I bought some from Brians Botanicals that were really small and thus had a very hard time growing and they died. Then I saw a large one at a local plant nursery in their greenhouse, so I bought it knowing that it doesn't actually need to be in a greenhouse. It does wonderfully outdoors all year round. Mine has a dark purple-ish cast on green. Very cool plant when it blooms.

This Fall bloomer is worth waiting for

Kept trying to buy online but it was always sold out from every seller. Signed up for email notifications of when it would be back in stock. I got an email one day that it was in stock so I quickly ordered it. Two small roots came to me and I was worried they wouldn't grow. I put them in the ground and nothing happened for a long time so I figured they were dead but later that summer they popped up and both bloomed! Amazing plant I hope it comes back again this year and spreads. It definitely enjoys the shade and too much sunlight will start to bleach the beautiful flower.

I think this plant's roots are poisonous so I don't think I should get this plant seeing as my husband is a dog trainer. Also, this plant spreads.

I have been kayaking past a house that had this ginger at the water's edge and when they were in bloom when I would pass by the house in the kayak you could smell the blooms from the water and I would be at least a dock's length away from the shore. Anyways, I enjoy mine but I find that they are more tender than shell gingers and will die back in the winter far easier but they do return. I think mine are finally starting to form a good grouping!

Just purchased off of Etsy from a seller in Hawaii. Recieved 3 rhizomes and potted them up. I'm hoping this ginger does well!

Daylilies I Have
Eagerly awaiting to see if mine has better blooms this year. The blooms didn't open properly the first year I had this daylily. I bought this daylily for the name. My husband's name is Aaron Brown haha.

I need to move this plant. It is getting chocked out by other plants.
