Thumb Plant Status Notes Events
Emerging growth-returning from last year French Tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus 'Sativa')
This one died this winter after many years. I used to like to have it for salmon chowder. I will probably put another one in some day, but don't really have the space for it right now.
Image Amazon Lily (Eucharis amazonica)
Trade as root
Available for trade in Canada. It seems to be growing bigger and will soon need to be split. Makes a good indoor plant and bloomed for me in November.
Very Close View Lily (Lilium pardalinum)
Snapdragon Vine Snapdragon Vine (Maurandya antirrhiniflora)
April 18, 2015: Seeds sown (Small, round dark brown seeds. Seeding instructions: Surface sow on top of moist, soil-less mix and keep at 20C and high humidity until germination (within 2 weeks or less).)
April 30, 2015: Seeds germinated (A heating pad was placed under the container a few days ago because no seeds had sprouted. There are now several very tiny plants resembling alfalfa sprouts in the container.)
Image Hybrid Fern Leaf Peony (Paeonia 'Fernleaf Hybrid')
Double bloom.
Seeds Peony (Paeonia obovata)
illustration by Guillot from 'Revue horticole', 1902 Mongolian Cherry (Prunus fruticosa)
(Like to have)
I'd like to have one of the Romance Series cherry trees developed by the University of Saskatchewan, which most sources list as Prunus cerasus x P. fruticosa. They are hardy to -40C.
Yes Bees DO like this plant Rose (Rosa 'Cape Diamond')
Mid-phase bloom Rose (Rosa 'Lambert Closse')
Morden snowbeauty first bloom Rose (Rosa 'Morden Snowbeauty')
Planted in 2012.
