The original plant was given to me by a dear old friend. I have started several new plants from the seeds. Very good germination. | June 10, 2014: Bloomed (Due to the extreme winter this plant started slowly this spring and has not attained the height of previous years. ) August 7, 2014: Fruit Ripened (The plant is at normal height now; lots of blooms and seed pods.) |

Events: April 26, 2013: Obtained plant (Received in trade from Cliff/PlantSwap.net) May 17, 2013: Bloomed (Not yet planted in-ground; still in temporary pot.) May 28, 2015: Fruit Ripened (Seed pod is almost mature.) June 30, 2015: Seeds germinated (After shaking seeds out of pod, allowing to dry a few days, I used the 'water' method, 15 seeds germinated.) May 5, 2016: My plant is a NOID; it has been suggested it might be a 'Minerva' or a 'Bright Star'. Observation from a distance: the blooms appear more orange/red than red. July 13, 2017: Eight of the plants started from seed have survived with total neglect. I up-potted them today. |
