lauribob's Plant List

A note from lauribob
I am not interested in selling or trading live plants. I do save seeds once in awhile and would be willing to trade those.

Have
Vegetables
Pinetree. 75 days. Heirloom.
My go to cantaloupe. Seems the most reliable and has good fruit.
2019: I started these in the GH a lot later this year. Definitely the way to go - I didn't have vines sprawling all over the place getting tangled with everything.

These are a really good green melon.
2019: Started later in the GH this year. Perfect.
Image Cucumber (Cucumis sativus 'Burpless')
Have
Vegetables
50 Days. Hybrid.
2018 Grew from a purchased start, along with our own plants. They did well and didn't get bitter. 70 days.

Vegetables
Pinetree. 65 days. Heirloom.
Greg loves these, but I could take or leave them. They taste good, but they're too hard to peel. I prefer a long cucumber. We plant them most years.
2019: Started later than usual in the GH. Perfect.

Vegetables
Pinetree. 60 days. OP
We started growing these in 2017. We've had good yield of mild, tasty cucumbers. I like them better than lemon cukes myself.
2019: Started them later in the GH this year. They transplanted without nearly the stress as the larger seedlings in the past.
Plant has an open habit, the easier to see the zukes before they Zucchini (Cucurbita pepo 'Green Tiger')
Have
Vegetables
Pinetree: 55 days. Hybrid.
These are tasty and smaller than most zukes. They take longer to get huge. We started growing them in 2017 and they are the one we go to now.
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus 'Violetto')
Have
Vegetables
Pinetree. 60 days. Heirloom
2019: From seed. My best luck ever with germination. I ended up planting 9 starts in the vegetable garden. I had 11, but 2 were weak and wilted in the cold frame when it got hot. I nicked and soaked the seeds overnight and that seemed to do the trick. I didn't do the vernalization thing because it was below freezing, then it got real warm and I didn't see the point. They did go out in the cold frame pretty early. We'll see if I get any buds.
Letter sent to Craig LeHoullier. Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Anna Russian')
Have
Vegetables
Pinetree. 70 days. Heirloom
I grew these one year when I couldn't find Cluster Grande seeds. They didn't impress me much.

Totally Tomatoes. 55 Days. OP
I grew these one year when I had poor germination with my seeds. They were really good.
2019 from seed. 2 plants

Have
Vegetables
2018 Bought a start. They were not good - they grew weird shaped tomatoes that were hard to slice and a lot of 2 fruits mashed together. They got some nasty flying bug burrowed into the fruit that about made me puke. Don't do them again.
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Bush Early Girl')
Have
Vegetables
54 Days. Hybrid.
2018 Bought a start. Didn't notice any difference between this one and the regular early girls.

Have
Vegetables
Pinetree. 68 days. Hybrid
2019: 2 from seed. These are compact plants that can hold themselves up at planting.
Image Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Celebrity')
Have
Vegetables
67 Days. Hybrid.
2018 Bought a start. These were good. They had medium sized fruits and produced well. I would do these again. I would put them on par with Early Girl.
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Cherry Bomb')
Have
Vegetables
Pinetree. 64 days. Hybrid.
2019: A freebie from PT when they couldn't get my Tumbling Tom to me early enough. I have one in a pot for the porch. Don't really know anything about this one except it's red.
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Cluster Goliath')

Totally Tomatoes. 67 days. Hybrid
2019 from seed. 2 Very tall, spindly plants at planting.
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Cluster Grande')
Have
Vegetables
Pinetree. 63 days. Hybrid
These are one of my go-to tomatoes. Smallish fruits along the vine like the ones you get in the store.
2018 Epic fail with seed starting.
2019 no seeds at PT
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Coustralee')
Have
Vegetables
Pinetree. 83 days. Heirloom.
This is my go-to big tomato. Nice sized tomatoes with the right amount of acid, and none of the mealy texture of a beefsteak. Yum.
2018 One little late seedling. Almost zero success this year with seeds - starting too late in the year.
2019 No seeds at PT
Ripe On The Vine Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Early Girl')
Have
Vegetables
Pinetree. 60 days. Hybrid.
2018 From seed and purchased starts.
2019 From seed. 2 plants
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Genuwine')
Have
Vegetables
70-75 days. Hybrid.
2018 Bought a start. Just so-so. Didn't particularly impress us in any way. They weren't horrible though.
Large Fruit Over 2# Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Goliath')
Have
Vegetables
Totally Tomatoes. 65 days. Hybrid.
2018 Bought a start (from the tag: VFFNTASt). These were really great! Large, tasty tomatoes on a smallish, well behaved plant. I would do these again. They stood in for Coustralee this year when nothing germinated for me. We had the indeterminate one, there is a determinate one called Goliath Bush Tomato and a lot of other variations.
