Have had several years, when it got bigger a few years ago, I just kept a small pup. I just up potted that pup into about a 10 inch black pot and found two spiraling offshoots trapped down below. So I think I will get a couple more pups now that those are freed and directed to the surface.
Aug 2023, here I am again taking pups off the main one. Have a very nice one in a 6 inch clay pot from spring.

Got circa 2016. I left several out this winter and we had a number of very cold nights. All leaves rotted off and left these nubs. We shall see. But kept one inside for insurance. Update, not winter hardy lol

Spodoptera ornithogalli.. yellow striped armyworm I think is what gets it every year, have to watch for holes and pick them off. Oddly, the worms seem to eat only this and not the Dr. Seuss.

Grew from seed from my 2008 trip to Italy.
11.19.2023 quite a job to remove from the whote straight sided pot. I planted it in the warmest corner by the fireplace, it may live or die but I am done hauling it indoors for winter.
8.25.24 ok over winter but hasn't grown any new leaves this summer. Maybe not watering enough.

Nice bloom Feb- March 2022 on two stalks. And again 2023, even better. AND I had midsummer blooms, a couple, on them! I split the pot to give one to Frances. Again, nice bloom early March 2024.

Got this as rooted cutting, I believe it was at fall swap 2016. See comments in DB.
About 20 beans spring 2022.
Grew a seedling!
2023 update seedling with 6 leaves, big one lost lots of leaves at library, and got bad mealybugs. Repotted, root pruned April. Thinking of pruning severely.
Sep 2023- Did prune some branches and so far no sign of budding out. Time to ditch the big one. Little one doing well. Watch for mealybugs!!
Oct 2024. Lovely young plant.

Elephants Ears Colocasia ‘Black Runner’

Elephant Ear (Colocasia esculenta 'Black Runner')

could be black magic tho, is not ruffled but does run a couple runners each year even from a pot. Likes to bloom, resists dormancy, can take runner tips and start new babies. Prone to mites.
2019 looked very sick, I finally unpotted, tuber rotted, kept tiny cuttings/tips and one good sprout.
2023, Number of babies different ages this year. Leaves are dark green, no longer get that near black, while runners are dark purple near black. Hard to keep happy in pots, even in ground while it has a few HUGE leaves this year, they got bad areas, don't know why.

Squirrel's Foot fern (Davallia trichomanoides) looks delicate but

Red one, Given away. Pink one, two buds 2020. Repot? Fertilize? Give chill in late winter to induce bloom?
Cuttings successfully rooted last year and ready for swap spring 2022.
Zero bloom 2024. Tired of it.
