Has really expanded on the west side. Loads of orange aphids this year by garage but not on west side. Loads of bumblebees.
Found a chrysalis Oct 25 on the shed, and it emerged a couple days after. Had an adult monarch hang around all day on blue salvia, Oct 27. It has been a warm and totally dry October.

Got circa 2016. I left several out this winter and we had a number of very cold nights. All leaves rotted off and left these nubs. We shall see. But kept one inside for insurance. Update, not winter hardy lol

Spodoptera ornithogalli.. yellow striped armyworm I think is what gets it every year, have to watch for holes and pick them off. Oddly, the worms seem to eat only this and not the Dr. Seuss.
