By gemini_sage April 27, 2015 | My Experience with Rose Rosette Disease I moved to my current home 8 years ago, and I brought almost every plant from my garden with me, including about 50 roses. It was an exciting time, as I had lived in a wooded, shady hollow, and I was happy to give so many sun-loving plants an appropriate home. I had chosen rose varieties for shade tolerance and disease resistance, because I knew the shade and moisture would be inviting for fungal diseases. Although we experienced a terrible drought that year, the roses did respond well to the sunny, open environment, and they settled in nicely in spite of the dry growing season. I am so please with the 'Bloom-a-ThonĀ® Lavender' Rhododendron and bag of Espoma Holly-tone fertilizer. Everything was packaged so well, the plant is healthy and robust, ready to take off growing. I would definitely order from this nursery again. http://www.gardenharvestsupply.com/productcart/pc/bloom-a-th...
I received my three plants today which I won here on ATP in a raffle, and I love them! They arrived beautifully packed and they are very healthy. Giving this company a big thumbs-up for their generosity and an A+ rating.
Very nice people. I do not know what else they have, but they grow 200+ different Achimenes. I received very prompt attention and got my rhizomes very quickly, in a matter of days. They were very nice rhizomes. Aruika has a lot of Serge Saliba rhizomes offered for sale, and she and Serge are friends. Serge has even named a rhizome after her. If you are looking for a specific rhizome, email them. They may have it. I was most impressed. I do not have a phone number for them, did everything via email. But they get back to you fairly quickly and they sure take care of you.
I won a gift certificate from Victory and really enjoyed trying some of the different varieties. Everything that I've planted so far has done well and good germination. I would highly recommend Victory and will be ordering from them in the future.
I read about the Ficus maclellandii 'Alii' on the Tropical Plants & More website and it looked and sounded so wonderful that I ordered one, along with a White Butterfly Ginger. They were shipped on a Monday and arrived on Wed., well packaged and looking fresh and fabulous! Both plants came with a laminated plant tag and an entire page of detailed info and culture tips, special touches that add to the entire ordering experience. You can tell Ken is a plant lover! Ficus maclellandii 'Alii' newly potted and having benefited from an overnight rain shower.
We keep growing, because ATP is where all the excitement is these days! Check out these numbers from last week:
