Jacksonville, Texas, April 10, 2019 -- National Gardening Association (NGA) announced today that they have completed their acquisition of GardenResearch.com. Immediately following the acquisition, GardenResearch.com was merged into National Gardening Association's operations.
Since the early 1970s, NGA has provided market research to the gardening industry, led by Bruce Butterfield who passed away in 2016. That same year, this portion of NGA's mission was split off into its own entity at GardenResearch.com and has continued on its own since that time, led by Paul Cohen. Today's re-acquisition of this group by NGA brings the research work back to its original home.
"In welcoming GardenResearch.com back into NGA's fold, we are reinforcing NGA's commitment to providing the best education, research and promotion of gardening." said Dave Whitinger, NGA's Executive Director. "Market research has always been a core component of NGA's mission, and it has been our desire to once again provide this crucial service to the industry. Following the acquisition, it's business as usual for GardenResearch.com. The 2019 National Gardening Survey is almost finished and will be released this month. Paul Cohen is staying on as Director of Research, and Ian Baldwin will continue to provide his insightful commentaries on the surveys. The survey also gets a big upgrade this year with the addition of beautifully laid out infographics, charts and more.
