The October 2014 Hardy Cacti, Succulents, Natives and Wildflowers Not-A-Raffle-Raffle!

Posted by @dave on
This is it! The final raffle of the year, and it's another great one, loaded down with huge prizes from some of our favorite companies.

Here we go again with another Not-a-Raffle Raffle. Why is this not a regular raffle? Well, in a regular raffle, you pay for the tickets with money. But in ATP raffles you buy your tickets with acorns. Tickets cost 5 acorns each. Don't know what acorns are? Click here to learn about acorns, and how to get them.

Good luck to all participants, and now let's talk about the prizes:

Flowers by the Sea is providing a $100 gift certificate. Flowers by the Sea is a small family farm and online nursery in California, dedicated to high quality growing and shipping of the best horticultural sages (Salvia spp.) available from America and around the world.

Perennial Obsessions is providing a $25.00 gift certificate plus free shipping. Perennial Obsessions is a small nursery specializing in hardy succulents, with an emphasis on named sempervivums and sedums.

High Country Gardens is providing a $50 gift certificate. At High Country Gardens we offer an incredible selection of xeric (drought resistant) and native plants, chosen for their hardiness, beauty and their support of habitat creation. We offer plants, products and information that support long-term ecological balance. Our mission is to improve the earth one garden at a time.

Annie's Annuals & Perennials is providing a $50 gift certificate.

Garden Harvest Supply says, "Like a natural, untamed look in your garden? Wildflower Mixes make it amazingly easy! Garden Harvest Supply has 12 different wildflower seed mixes to choose from. Got shade? There's a mix for that! Want perennials? GHS has a mix for that! Live in the Northeast, the mountains, the Midwest? Choose the mix that suits your needs best. Garden Harvest Supply is giving away 4-packets of Wildflower Mix seeds, each one capable of sowing approximately 62 square feet!"

Lastly, I will give 50 acorns each to the 3 remaining winners.

As always, the ticket buying window is open now and will close on Monday at 6:00pm Central time. The drawing will be done and posted on Tuesday. The first place winner gets first pick of all the prizes, and then the second winner picks, and so forth until all prizes are claimed. Important note for winners: If you are contacted as a winner and asked to choose a prize you have 3 days to respond with your choice. If you do not respond within 3 days, the next placed winner will be contacted and allowed to pick.

This raffle is now closed!
