The Q&A Archives: Wintering A Plant

Question: CAN DRACNEA (THE SPIKED PLANT USED IN POTTED PLANTING) BE WINTERED INDOORS/OUTDOORS? THANK YOU

Answer: "Spikes" as they are sometimes called can be wintered indoors; they need to be gradually acclimated to the reduced light levels found indoors and should be brought in before it gets too cold outside. They are not winter hardy although they often seem to "hang on" until around Christmas in my garden.
