The Q&A Archives: Little White Bugs On Tomatoes

Questioner's Location: Mansfield, MO
Date: June 11, 2000

Question: How do I get rid of little white aphids on my tomato plants?

Answer: Aphids (soft bodied sucking insects, tend to congregate on the newest growth tips) can be controlled by spraying with water from the hose to knock them down, or with insecticidal soap applied according to the label instructions. They can also be hand picked and squashed if there aren't too many of them. If the ladybugs or other aphid-eaters have shown up, you might not need to do anything, though.
