Your plant may have suffered from root damage, drought, transplanting shock or some other such factor which caused the loss of leaves. The plants are not at all fond of soggy conditions so avoid keeping it too wet. Give it plenty of morning sun until it recovers they full day or part day sun is okay. Wait to fertilize until you see significant new growth developing. It doesn't need a lot of fertilizing to stay healthy.
