The Q&A Archives: Grounds covers and trumpet flower seeds

Questioner's Location: Clinton, Te

Question: Is there a quick growing juniper ground cover?
How do I get the seeds from the trumpet flower?
Thanks so much for your help.

Answer: Marilyn,
Juniper groundcovers have a moderate growth rate at best. There is not one that is much faster than the others. Regarding your trumpet flowers, after they bloom allow the seed pods to start to dry and then harvest them, extract the seeds and dry them in a well ventilated warm area for another two weeks. Then store the seed in a jar in the freezer for planting later when you wish.
