The Q&A Archives: Boxwoods died

Questioner's Location: Lisle, Il
Date: June 23, 2009

Question: I had four boxwoods at the foundation of my home which died and were torn out. I'm thinking they died due to root rot caused by some type of fungus that now resides in the soil. Another evergreen is also dying (not a boxwood) nearby. However, my sister's boxwoods (lives in Oswego) also died. Do you recommend not planting boxwoods again? Where can I get help with a new entryway landscape design?
