The Q&A Archives: Stargazer Lillies

Question: I received some stargazer lilly bulbs from Michigan Bulb Company as a gift in late April. They are still in the unopened package. Can I plant them this fall and will they grow?

Answer: If your lily bulbs arrived 3 months ago, they should have been planted in the spring. I'd plant them now so they have a chance to grow and replenish the stored energy. If you don't plant them soon, they may not sprout at all. Good luck with your lilies!
