[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Desiderata') | Posted on January 10, 2022 ]

This plant has performed well throughout the year, makes some large fans.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Pixie Daydream') | Posted on October 1, 2021 ]

Today is Oct. 1st 2021, and the best looking foliage of all the daylilies in the entire garden is on 'Pixie Daydream'.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Crimson Beacon') | Posted on February 23, 2021 ]

This daylily makes large fans with long leaves.

I was on Ladybug daylily site today, and I noticed that Dan had "Not Fertile" posted for this daylily.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Laura Harwood') | Posted on June 30, 2018 ]

Beautiful blooms but the scapes are too short and the blooms are often down in the foliage.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Happy and Blessed') | Posted on June 12, 2018 ]

I have not been able to set a pod on this plant so far. It is very pollen fertile, however.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Mini Pearl') | Posted on March 24, 2018 ]

Dark shiny short green foliage, best looking foliage in the entire garden.

This summer was the first year after at least 10 years that I actually had new plants volunteer from seed. I had tried on several occasions to plant seed and none ever geminated. This year I kept finding new small plants popping up all in the lawn. This year my neighbor discovered a plant growing probably 100 feet from any of the others I had given her. It is amazing how fast these plants can grow.

This plant is the most rust prone plant in my garden. It finally got to the point there was not a single leaf on this plant.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Taunus Orange Candy') | Posted on May 13, 2017 ]

I just saw this, and was wondering why the hybridizer named the plant "Taunus Orange Candy' then in the written description writes "pink with purple eyezone and green to yellow throat'. No mention in the description of the bloom actually being Taunus Orange, no mention of orange at all. I wonder if there was a mistake in the registration of the plant.

"cool mornings can bring out a halo not mentioned in the written description by the hybridizer, this can be seen in some of the photos"

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Scottish Fantasy') | Posted on July 17, 2015 ]

I planted this plant in late March and it was the best performing plant of the seven planted at the time. It is the largest and has produced the most blooms. Also, this plant is a bud builder in my garden. It's very unusual for me to have a bud builder.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'My Path') | Posted on June 11, 2015 ]

Last year this plant did great, the year before also. This year not a sign of a scape so far. It must have stressed out from being divided, plus it set a lot of pods last year, so I am assuming it is resting this year and may rebound next year.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Spode') | Posted on February 5, 2015 ]

This plant is described as a clear yellow self but it is actually pink in color.

This reseeds itself here very well. The small plants transplant very easily. I could have potted up dozens of the small seedlings. There were some that even grew right outside the bed in the lawn. I transplanted some at different sizes and had good survival rate with all of them. Also the foliage of the plants is so distinct it makes it very easy to spot even very small seedlings.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'My Path') | Posted on July 18, 2014 ]

This plant has done very well for me and it has bloomed for over a month. It seems to be a bud builder that keeps the buds coming. It forms a nice clump and after three years mine will need dividing.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Jolyene Nichole') | Posted on May 28, 2014 ]

Pay special attention to the height of this plant. It is the shortest one in my garden. So if you are expecting a tall daylily, this is not it.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Fire Bird Suite') | Posted on May 21, 2014 ]

This is a stand out plant in the garden, really attracts your attention.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Volusian Spider') | Posted on May 21, 2014 ]

This plant has not set many buds for me.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Champagne Elegance') | Posted on May 21, 2014 ]

This was a very early bloomer for me this year, 2014, and it was one of my latest re-bloomers last year 2013.
Again in 2015 this was my first named daylily to bloom.
