[ Prairie Nymph (Herbertia lahue) | Posted on April 5, 2015 ]

Blue/purple bloom with darker purple and with white splotches at base of petals. Blooms for 2 weeks, with individual flowers lasting only a day, opening in the morning and closing in late afternoon.

[ White Lace Flower (Orlaya grandiflora) | Posted on February 3, 2015 ]

I have had these for several years now and they self-sow every year. They can get invasive, but they are easily pulled up. The white lacecap blooms are lovely and are the first to bloom here. They have ferny green leaves, which look great against the white blooms. Wonderful addition to cottage gardens and bouquets.

[ Golden Crownbeard (Verbesina encelioides) | Posted on May 9, 2013 ]

Self-sowed freely and grew through our mild winters, resulting in large clumps.

[ Flame Lily (Gloriosa) | Posted on May 8, 2013 ]

The colors are so intense; coming back every year. Very easy to grow!

They self-sow every year; make a good ground cover.
