Roses in a Cottage GardenRoses in a Cottage Garden
February 12, 2013

I love my roses, but I have never cared for the look of any formal type of garden, not even rose gardens. Instead, I have planted my many roses informally in my garden, which is very much a cottage garden. Take a picture tour with me to see my roses.

I love the touches of apricot that complement the yellow blooms and the large bouquet-type clusters that can almost cover the entire plant at peak bloom time. The entire plant in general is very healthy looking as well.

Such a stunning rose! I have two of them planted out front in Floribundaville in my front yard. I found mine as a Jackson and Perkins milk-carton rose one spring years ago. Shades of yellow, but not exactly a yellow rose. Such interesting coloring. Lots of blooms too, and Eureka grows really well. I do spray for blackspot in my humid Long Island, NY garden. My roses need spraying to stay fungus-free.
