Posted by farmerdill (Augusta Georgia - Zone 8a) on Feb 13, 2021 12:32 PM Several seed vendors sell this variety interchangeably with Snowball. I have grown Snowball back in the 40's and again for nostalgia in the 90's. Snowball is a small ( 5-7 ounce) round white with little core so I am not convinced that White Beauty is the same variety. It performs reasonably well for an antique variety that dates back to the the beginning of the 20th century. Sweet mild flavor. Always considered it more of a novelty than a slicer.
