A green fleshed 3-4 lb hybrid from Hollar. Almost round with sparse netting. According to Hollar "Interior color: Creamy white, with green towards the rind.
Flesh characteristics: high sugar, 15% or more is common in Rocky Ford. Substantially higher sugar, on average, than cantaloupe or honeydew. Smoothly firm flesh, not crisp or too hard. Pleasantly aromatic but not overpowering."
It is a very early maturing cultivar, a week to 10 days earlier than regular melons. More productive than Sensation. Flesh is firm but not crunchy. It is sweet, but no distinctive flavor.
