"Paeonia 'Yellow Crown', (3-SD-Y) Itoh Hybrid Peony, (Itoh, 1964), USDA Hardiness Zone 5, Medium height, semi-double to double, light yellow petals, red flares, midseason bloomer , Michigan Bloom Month 5-7.

One of the original Itoh hybrids. Itoh had named four: 'Yellow Crown', 'Yellow Dream', 'Yellow Emperor' and 'Yellow Heaven'. Introduced & registered by Louis Smirnow, 1974. 'Yellow Crown' is a more double form than 'Yellow Emperor'. "
