Yellow Trumpet Creeper has 3-inch long trumpet-shaped, peachy-yellow colored flowers in mid to late summer followed by decorative pods in the fall. It takes sun and any soil. It is a very strong grower and is choice for adorning a fence, trellis, or mailbox. Has an informal appearance.

This Yellow Trumpetcreeper is just like the orange blooming mother species except for the flower color. I found one in a good siting of being by itself in a field where it could not grab anything nearby. Fast growing, rampant woody vine or high groundcover that can climb by aerial rootlets on wood, stone, brick, etc. This yellow variety is sometimes sold by conventional, mail order, and native plant nurseries. It is not as common as the orange straight species, but it is occasionally found in average to professional landscapes and gardens.
