This is another hybrid elm species ( the Smoothleaf Elm of Europe with the Lacebark Elm of East Asia) being recommended for being a good tree with good resistance to the Dutch Elm Disease and to Elm Yellows. The small leaves are lustrous dark green and can develop a good red-purple fall color. It is supposed to be sort of vase-shaped with a stiff, rounded crown. It is a USDA introduction.
