This is a tough plant where drought conditions persist. I warn you though --- it roots where it touches the ground (and especially in mulch), so you'll want to keep it under control. If you pull the babies up when they are small, though, they are easy to pull up and you will find them still attached to the mother plant. In zone 10 it blooms almost on a continual basis, only stopping for brief rests.
