Posted by goldfinch4 (Ripon, Wisconsin) on Oct 12, 2011 3:26 PM This mid-season blooming peony may even be hardy to zone 2. Strong stems make this a good cut flower. In very warm areas the foliage will benefit from some afternoon shade. It has won the American Peony Society Gold Medal 2007 and Award of Landscape Merit 2009.
