Cantabile is a historically famous Poeticus daffodil from Guy Wilson, a well respected Irish (Northern Ireland) breeder from before the middle of the last century. This cultivar is both seed and pollen fertile and has been used extensively in the creation of new daffodils. It's been used 28 times as a seed parent and 22 times as pollen parent. Cantabile was presented the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1966. AGM is considered the ace of all garden awards.
