Gerda Brooker has beautiful blooms, but the plant has struggled for me. It seems as if it is always the last one to start growing every spring, and I always think that I've lost it, but it just takes its time showing up. It hasn't increased any in the few years that I've had it, but I've kept it because it does have a very nice bloom. I've moved it from zone 5a to zone 7a, and that hasn't made any difference.
