MrsBinWY | On December 6, 2020 | Seeds germinated 1, another 1 up on 12-8-20. This is very strange but possibly a reminding/reinforcing lesson -- one of those "teachable moments." After I sowed the seeds, I set the container on the bathroom floor where it wouldn't get as much of a chill as it would have elsewhere in the house. On 11-27-20, since the seeds hadn't emerged, I gave up on them and sowed Oenothera coloradensis ssp. coloradensis in the pots. At that point, I left the pots sitting on the bathroom counter. The temperature stays fairly even there, too, but the pots were exposed to brighter light. So, does S. canescens ssp. daghestanica need 30 days to germinate? Did the brighter light trigger germination? Something else? |
MrsBinWY | On November 7, 2020 | Seeds sown 3 seeds (all) from CBG's Crevice Garden, collected September 2020, sown @ room temp in 2.25" pots. |
