It's currently weathering the cold in its second year (first year in ground here), all stems still green. It came to me at about five inches high and is now about 18 inches high--not bad for being in a brand new bed scraped out of clay and amended with leaf compost before being neglected after the first few months of conscientious feeding and watering in spring.
I agree about its health. Here in wet, hot zone 7, the main issue is black spot, and that didn't seem to bother it at all. I may have noticed a tad, but squirted it with a homemade black spot spray and never saw it again.
It bloomed three times for me, and the color was like a sundrop--a brilliant but not jarring yellow-gold, tinged with pinkish in fall. I couldn't bear to pinch blooms off like I planned, to let it put on growth, because they were too pretty.

I have only had this rose for one year. In fact, I still have to plant it into the ground! It's a beautiful glowing rose in a rich golden amber color, but more often for me it's a gorgeous sherbet orange. What a stunning bright glow in the garden, especially with those huge one-branch bouquets! The entire plant is also healthy with deep green leaves. It has quickly gone to the top favorites list, and this despite its current restrictions growing in a 5-gal. pot!
