Clumping, pinkish-purplish-white flowered Mammillaria species (now Cochemiea) from southern Baja California. Formerly subsumed under albicans because of floral similarities, despite differences in spination. It grows to the south of albicans.
Stems 4-6 inches tall and about 1.5 inches in diameter, branching at the base. 3-4 central spines, one hooked. 11-12 white radial spines. Flowers whitish pink with darker midveins. Found in the state of Baja California Sur, on both sides of the peninsula near La Paz.
