One of the oldest daffodils I've come across with a first flowering date of before 1548. It's a hoop petticoat type flower.
Found some references to this ancient daffodil on the internet -
a) '1878 - ‎Agriculture
Laus tibi, "a narcissus with white flowers. It groweth plenteously in my Lorde's garden in Syon and it is called of divers White Laus tibi." — Turner's Herball, pt. ii. (from book '500 Pointes of Good Husbandrie')
b) Eng., narcissus, white laus tibi (WT 1568, pt. 2, p. 62); late flownng bulbus violet (JG 1597, p. 120). Ger., weisz Hor- nungszblumen, Mertzenblumen (HS, p. 485). (from a 16th century book called 'De Historia Stirpium Commentarii Insignes')
